Auction Recap: Pine Border Farm Equipment

Wednesday, March 13 we held an auction in Cedar Springs, Michigan for Pine Border Farms, as after 47 years of successful farming Cal and Carl decided to retire and sell their farm equipment through a live auction.

This auction included many great pieces of farming equipment, including a 1985 John Deere 2950. This tractor brought attention from many throughout the auction, and when it came time to bid on this tractor there were many bidders wanting to take this tractor home and put it to work! When the final bid came in on this tractor, Miedema Auctioneering soon learned that this tractor that brought in a high bid of $17,750 was the 2nd highest auction price in 28 months on a John Deere 2950! A great turnout for Pine Border Farms as we wish them well in their next chapter of life.

Jef-Len Dairy Facility & Land

It was a packed house for the Jef-Len Dairy Facility, at Agroliquid Conference Center in St. Johns, Michigan Thursday afternoon as a 300 cow free stall dairy facility and 350 acres of tiled farm land were being auctioned off to the highest bidder.

This prime piece of Real Estate and Dairy Equipment brought in bidders from all around, all hoping they would be the new owners of this great opportunity for land and facility.

As bids flew throughout the room, three high bidders were able to say they were the new owners of this Dairy Facility & Land.

The 5 parcels were broken up into three new owners that can be seen in the picture below:

Auction Results: Donald W. Theis Estate

Auction results: It was a full house at the Westphalia Township Hall on Thursday, February 28th. Bidders, neighbors and perspective buyers filled the room as later that night 200 acres, a home and outbuildings would soon have a new owner!

This property was broken up into 4 parcels, with the option to buy all parcels, or have them broken up into different buyers.

A pre-auction appraisal that was done prior to the auction said that this property was worth $1.3 million dollars, but only the end of the auction would tell what bidders were willing to pay.

After an hour of bid calling, and discussions between bidders the final bid call was placed, and the gavel was hit for the final time for the evening. Three high bidders were beyond thrilled that they now owned this property once owned by Donald W. Theis.

Thanks to our auction and marketing team, the night ended with a total of $1.605 million in bids, plus a 3% buyers premium.

At the end of the night smiles filled the room by all, including the seller and the new owners of this beautiful property for the best possible auction results!
